  1. TEAMWORK 12” LP NOW AVAILABLE Last weekend was the 12 inch “LP release” of Summer People’s second full-length Teamwork. I embarked on an enjoyable, yet long, journey north trough D.C. and Baltimore before reaching Binghamton, NY to deliver the vinyls as SP hit the road. It has been an exciting process to officially release the first vinyl on Low Light. You can pick the album up at any of SP’s SHOWS as they head down to SXSW this month, or ORDER it online. w/ love, Steve

  3. SUMMER PEOPLE / PORCHES TOUR IS HAPPENING

    SP are doing a stretch of shows with PORCHES for the next week. Several shows will also include UNDERGROUND RIVER who just released a new full-length several weeks ago. Go HERE for more information about the show dates. -Steve

There is A WHOLE LOT going on with Low Light right now —- In addition to getting “Do It” vinyl EP’s, new Hot Diggity tanktops, and Gay Cop tee’s IN STOCK in the last several weeks, Summer People’s Kickstarter project will be ending on Sunday, Oct. 30th @ 6:00p.m. Our goal is to get at least 70 people to pre-order the TEAMWORK vinyl before Sunday. There are still other exclusive gifts like 7 inches, test-pressings, and tees for pledges made. Please, spread the word and help us attain our goal! Those of you who have already pledged: we sincerely thank you for your commitment and support - it is incredibly inspiring! Following the Kickstarter, LL will be pursuing the promotion of the Teamwork LP by collaborating with two other labels - this is an effort to better promote Summer People and all of those involved. We are very excited, and hope this is not the last collaborative release through LL.  More news to come! -Steve

  6. SP FUNDRAISER PROJECT = RAD SP MERCH!!!

    Yesterday we launched a Kickstarter.com project to fund the pressing of Summer People’s “Teamwork” on vinyl and to convert the Summer People van into a  Veggie Waste Oil powered vehicle; therefore touring on recycled/pre-used fuel (STOKED!).This is a very exciting project for all of us, and we hope you have the ability to contribute. In return we have some great gifts for you (i.e. Teamwork test-pressings, colored vinyl (limited quantity), exclusive 7-inch (limited to 50), tees (limited to 50 that will target those Good Problems fans!) designed by our pal Mike Murray).

    We thank you in advance for pre-ordering Teamwork on vinyl. It will be pressed on high quality vinyl. SP continues to progress because of you: our friends, family, and fans alike.

  7. KILLER COMPILATION A brand spankin’ new compilation done by Exploding In Sound has just been posted to Bandcamp. We are overjoyed to know that Summer People are included on this collection of excellent bands (i.e. True Widow, Low, Hella). What an excellent comp to have waiting for me on Labor Day a.m., especially after a long move to a new state… I can say with confidence that many more boxes will be unpacked thanks to this rad compilation.   9. TOUR TOUR TOUR DATES DATES DATES

    Summer People just hit the road on Saturday (8/27) for a 50 + date tour. After playing shows in Ohio they are headed west and then south (to see me, of course!). Check out the tour dates on facebook or summerppl.com. They will be playing ALL of these shows with HotChaCha, and the northeast dates with Zlam Dunk. 

    In other news, this week we will be posting a Kickstarter project to press Teamwork on vinyl, AND to convert the SP van into a Waste Vegetable Oil fueled beast. As you can imagine, fuel costs are the main expense for a touring band. By minimizing this cost and decreasing our personal dependence on oil, it’s a win-win situation! This is exciting to me and the rest of SP! We will be offering some rad-n-rare pressings, demo versions of SP tracks, and tee designs that have potential to be claimed quickly. Please help us out if you are able. I’ll supply you with a link as soon as it is posted.

    I expect to post some tour photos and news from SP very soon!
